Vanilla Iced Coffee
This is a simple, easy, cost effective recipe for great tasting vanilla iced coffee. I prefer to make it myself rather than buying it. When I make it myself, I know what ingredients are going in and I can sweeten it the way I like it.
Simple Syrup Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar or sugar substitute

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Other Ingredients

1 cup coffee, at room temperature

2 tablespoons heavy cream
Directions

Make the simple syrup by combining sugar and 1 cup water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture continuously stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Let cool completely and stir in vanilla extract; set aside.

Serve coffee over ice with heavy cream and simple syrup, to taste.

Store remaining simple syrup in the refrigerator.

Add cinnamon to the syrup for a cinnamon dolce flavored coffee.
